W.F.K Christie's collection of riddles

W.F.K. Christie was an eager collector. His interest in artefacts resulted in the foundation of Bergen Museum, but he also collected and studied folklore and vernacular language, among other things a collection of riddles from 1848.  In May 1924 W.H. Christie, a relative of W.F.K. Christie,  gave the collection of riddles to Torleiv Hannaas, profesor of the vernacular dialects of the Western part of Norway at Bergen Museum. It subsequently became part of the Hannaas collection, now a part of Ethno-folkloristic Archive at the University of Bergen.
